Library & Information Resources Network

Table 511
LIRN, the Library and Information Resources Network, is a nonprofit consortia that provides online access to academic journals, electronic books, and videos for our members since 1996.
LIRN members enjoy savings made possible through volume discounts from group purchasing, a centrally managed portal for their students to use, hosted proxy services for on and off campus access to their subscribed resources, and a powerful federated search solution to enable easy discoverability of content from multiple sources.

LIRN’s librarian service gives institutions flexibility in managing how they provide access to library professionals for their student body, by either serving as the school’s primary librarian contacts or by augmenting their existing staff to expand their library’s capabilities. Facets of the service include research assistance, student & faculty training, faculty collaboration, professional development, and effectiveness review & accreditation support.
