Networking with library colleagues and discussing service challenges, along with potential solutions, is a benefit I’ve gained at every ER&L conference I've attended. It is crucial for resource management teams to demonstrate to key stakeholders, the value of the library’s collection and the various ways in which it supports the institutional mission. Technical services is the powerful, “behind the scenes” force in the library that boosts student success and initiates new research discoveries. However, the success with which my department provides seamless discovery and delivery of biomedical resources is highly dependent on successful relationships with our other departments.  The "new normal" of a hybrid work schedule has led me to more robust and frequent collaborations with coworkers.  Together, we work with vendors to resolve technical issues that impede our work and delivery of services. Oddly enough, a hybrid schedule seems to have enhanced our teamwork approach.  Maybe it's because we miss seeing our colleagues in person as much as we did pre-Covid.   Maybe it's because we are less stressed, less tired out by so much commuting to/from the office.  Whatever it is, it's a positive effect.  I wonder if other libraries have experienced the same.
