Esther Medina De León is an Associate Librarian at Texas Tech University Libraries. She has a MLS from the University of North Texas, Denton, and BA in Humanities, minor in Spanish, from Lubbock Christian University. Her interests include Hispanic/Latinx culture, heritage, literature, and identity. She serves as a Women’s & Gender Studies Affiliated Faculty, a member of the President's Gender Equity Council, a Leaders Engaged in Advancing Diversity (L.E.A.D) Fellow; on the advisory board for the Centers for Mexican American & Latino Studies and Latin American & Iberian Studies; and primary investigator (PI) of the Chicana/x Latina/x Working Group, which serves to continue research and create dialog on the influence of Chicana and Latina feminisms.
